Hello! Is it possible to get the type of a galaxy in a subhalo from the catalogues? For example to check if it is an elliptical , S0, or disk galaxy? Or do I have to characterize the types of galaxies by myself?
Many thanks in advance!
In the category "Supplementary Data Catalogs/ Photometry, Morphology, Strong-lensing and Dynamics (PMSD)" the types of galaxies with masses greater than 10**10 solar masses are given. However, it seems for me that only about 5,000-6,000 galaxies for a given redshift are analyzed, but there must be much more galaxies with such masses in the Illustris-1 run for a given redshift. I want to study the fraction of galaxy types over redshift, so the only way would be to determine the galaxy types with sunrise or something like that?
