I'm studying a set of massive clusters in illustris snapshot 99. My goal is to investigate dwarf galaxies and to do so, I need to identify them through the available magnitude bands. In this case, V or B bands.
However, for example, for a cluster with 380 particles, at least 150 have magnitude values equal to zero. In the eight available bands.
Could you please tell me if the magnitude values given by the StellarPhotometrics field have any errors?
Thank you in advance.
Best,
Alisson

I assume by "cluster with 380 particles" you mean a subhalo.
In this case, many subhalos have no star particles, and these subhalos would (by definition) have zero values for the SubhaloStellarPhotometrics array.
