I have a sample of Dust Obscured Galaxies at the redshift range 0.5 to 2, How can I get information on typical galaxies of the same redshift range by using Illustris?
That's to compare between my sample properties with typical galaxies at the same redshift range.

Hi Nofoz,
If you want to select analogs to "dust obscured galaxies" in the simulations, this might be quite difficult.
But if you want to simply contrast against the general galaxy population, e.g. to see if your DOGs are outliers on a particular scaling relation, this is much easier. I would suggest to start with the Example Scripts tutorial.
